Michael C. McPherson has been published in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, Kracked Mirror Mysteries, Listen Magazine, Hardboiled, Our Family, Canadian Author, Catholic Twin Circle, The Edmonton Sun, Canadian Writer's Journal, The Edmonton Journal, The Connection, SPGA and many others. He has also had two chapbooks of stories published -- A Backward Climb Up The Stairs and Over, Under, Sideways Down. His stories have also appeared in two 1994 anthologies – Meltdown and Bizarre Dreams.
The genres he loves to dabble in are varied. Michael prefers crime and mystery, but has written horror, children stories, erotica, a large number of articles and personal essays, and several novels. He is now devoting much of his writing time to screenplays.
"Like most writers, I do have a day job (sigh), but hey, I gotta eat, too! And I guess you may best describe me as a cynic who smiles, a dweller in satire. I do not live alone, and I empathize with those who do. Life is too short for islands in a stream."
Michael C. McPherson lives in a small city three hundred miles north of Edmonton, Alberta where they have been known to have the coldest winters in Canada! Currently, he is working on another screenplay with plans for another novel. And, of course, there's always a new short story on this guy's horizon.
